Don Baker is a freelance artist and surface designer who lives in Seattle with his wife and two sons. Besides art, Don enjoys playing guitar and hand drums. His sense of altruism led to the launch of evidenceofhumanity.org devoted to stories of people and organizations doing positive things around the world.
Don’s work has been inspired by travels to the canyon lands of the Southwest US, Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula, Mexico and Costa Rica as well as on walks near his home. An avid journaler, Don regularly adds to his sketchbooks, illustrating interesting natural elements that feed his development of fabric patterns.
Don’s work coaxes us to see things in new ways, “The experience is not in the patterns. It’s in the connection between the shapes.” Don’s work may be found on a variety of products and his work featured in numerous trade magazines.
